After completing my degree program at the Professional Commercial School of Aarau in 1998, I spent more than 10 instructive and exciting years in Florence and Rome, where I worked in various sectors as a business staff member, sales clerk and hostess, and where I produced my earliest translations. During this time I discovered how much I enjoyed taking a creative approach to language and interacting with Italian culture. Following my return to Switzerland, I took a position with an international transport company while also pursuing a degree as a qualified translator at the HDS St. Gallen School of Interpreting and Commerce. That was the best decision I took; I've finally found a job I really enjoy! A few years later I dared to take the step towards independence.

I have been working as a freelance translator for more than 10 years now – a job that I perform with great care and dedication, driven by a passion for language and culture.
